Paris Port Dover Pipe Band decided that any practice is important, both to see the members and to help keep the skills up, but getting together was not in the best interest to hold training virtually. Various groups within the band (grade 5, 4, competition and showband) set up lessons for members still interested in getting together online.

From March 2020 until December 2020 and again in 2021 as conditions changed, online lessons were provided as needed, only during a short period did outdoor in person lessons continue. Luckily for PPDPB we are in an area that wasn't seeing the COVID numbers other areas did.

With platforms like Zoom and Teams hosting  virtual meetings have become easy and in fact the "norm" for most of us at work. As a new piper or drummer it is a great way to stay involved with the band and of course keeping everyone socially and musically engaged.
